WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED
AEPSi Subscription
AEPSi is a secure web-based companion to AEPS with powerful scoring and reporting functions. Once providers enter assessment data, AEPSi automatically scores, tracks, aggregates, archives, and reports child progress data. AEPSi features OSEP reports, eligibility determination reports, a new Child Journal, assessment activities, and more. See Benefits of AEPS and AEPSi for details.
Volume 1: AEPS Administration Guide
The Administration Guide provides the instruction you need to use AEPS accurately and effectively. It includes clear, detailed guidelines for collecting data, translating test results into IFSP/IEP goals and objectives, monitoring child progress, and encouraging family participation.
Volume 2: AEPS Test for Birth to Three Years and Three to Six Years
This volume contains complete versions of each AEPS Test. Each of the 260+ items for each test is accompanied by detailed scoring criteria, cautions and notes, and illustrations of children showing the item being done correctly. These comprehensive explanations ensure that the assessment results are accurate and valid.
Volume 3: AEPS Curriculum for Birth to Three Years and
Volume 4: AEPS Curriculum for Three to Six Years
The AEPS Curriculum volumes contain hundreds of developmentally sequenced interventions that are keyed to the AEPS Test. The volumes include guidelines on designing and implementing intervention, teaching considerations and suggestions, recommendations for environmental arrangements, strategies for incorporating the activities into the child's daily routine, and strategies for working concurrently on various goals and objectives.
AEPS Forms (Paper and CD-ROM)
To use AEPS, you need three forms: the Child Observation Data Recording Form, the Child Progress Record, and the Family Report. The forms are photocopiable free of charge from the AEPS Administration Guide, available separately in paper format, or available in PDF format on CD-ROM. Programs typically find the CD-ROM to be most convenient and cost-effective because there's never a need to reorder packs of forms or photocopy from the book.
